Town & Country is located west of Mechem Drive and north of Cedar Creek Road and the Lincoln National Forest's Smoky Bear Ranger Station. The neighborhood consists of a network of cross streets which eventually abuts the Ruidoso Police Department toward its north end. Like other Ruidoso neighborhoods on the Mechem's west side, the area gains elevation as its extends towards Sierra Blanca.  Though it’s difficult to acquire specific data on the percentage of permanent residents versus second homes used as vacation rentals, a visual survey of this neighborhood seems to indicate there are a significant number of permanent residents when compared to other similar neighborhoods.

Like many neighborhoods in town, most properties are vintage 70's and 80's. Town & Country also has mixed zoning where you'll find a collection of both mid priced site built and mid-priced manufactured homes. Another very quiet area with tree lined streets, Town & Country consists of only local traffic as most streets dead end to the mountain side of the neighborhood curtailing the flow of pass through traffic.
