VIEW FLUME CANYON - BLACK FOREST LISTING MAP
The Flume Canyon - Black Forest area is sandwiched in between Grindstone Canyon to its south and Ruidoso's historic Upper Canyon to the north. And like all neighborhoods on our western edge the area is bordered by the Lincoln National Forest to the west.
Architecturally, the area is similar to both the Upper Canyon and Grindstone Canyon with lots of 1970 and 1980s construction. Flume Canyon doesn't have the real old original type cabins from the 1940's and 1950's like the Upper Canyon though. And also unlike the Upper Canyon, Flume Canyon doesn't have the Rio Ruidoso running through it so prices tend to be lower than what you'd find for comparable construction, size and age in the neighboring canyon.
The Flume Canon - Black Forest area though still offers cool, shady summers and colorful falls, lots of quiet, abundant wildlife and good proximity to the Midtown area of Ruidoso.
